SERVPRO of Eau Claire donating 225 pairs towards "Sock-tober."

SERVPRO of Eau Claire proudly supported its’ community by donating 225 pairs of socks to the less fortunate for “Sock-Tober” sponsored by “Scorch & The Morning X.”

Initially this idea was something that our marketing representative caught wind of as “Scorch” had mentioned he wanted to start doing this event annually for our Eau Claire community. James was the first to call Scorch and let him know that SERVPRO was ready to do what it could to support the cause. James went out to some of the local businesses to find the best deals on a variety of brand new socks for women, men and children.

The event quickly became popular as Scorch continued to advertise it on his radio show and soon other businesses from the area joined in. Scorch was able to round up 4,000 pairs of socks for people in need this season!

SERVPRO of Eau Claire loves supporting our community, we recognize that our greatest asset that we have is each other.

Bowl Season

New SERVPRO First Responder Bowl to be played at Cotton Bowl Stadium. To honor the services and sacrifices of First Responders, the annual college bowl game played at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas has been renamed. It is now the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl! The game is set for a 12:30 pm (Central Time) kickoff and will be televised on ESPN.

It's a privilege to honor the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. SERVPRO who works along side and supports these community heroes reinforces our goals of recognizing our first responders.

First responders to be honored include police officers, firefighters, EMS workers, correctional officers, search and rescue, dispatchers, security guards, federal agents, border patrol agents, and military personnel who have specialized training and are first to arrive and provide assistance at the scene of an emergency.

Join SERVPRO of Eau Claire for our 3rd annual SERVPRO Golf Outing, Friday August 17th, at Wissota Golf in Chippewa Falls, WI. Activities and networking starts at 11 am, shotgun start for the scramble at noon. All money raised will go directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin.

Hoarding in the Chippewa Valley

Hoarding, what is it? What causes it? What can you do to help a loved one who you believe is a hoarder? What are the dangers? All questions that SERVPRO of Eau Claire Professionals are trained to answer, properly care for, and clean.

Did you know that Eau Claire County and SERVPRO of Eau Claire are leading Wisconsin in the fight to help those who hoard, and to bring awareness to the issue? The Eau Claire County Hoarding Task Force, with the guidance of the Hoarding Project, do just that. The task force is made up of a number of different government agencies as well as private businesses and community members, joining forces to help better our community.

It started when the Eau Claire Health Department and city police and fire departments got together to discuss what should be done with a couple cases that they three departments were working on. It was determined that the issues of hoarding go much deeper than a messy home, or someone that just collects a bunch of items. The city teamed up with several different entities and leaned upon several businesses and community members to form the most well rounded and knowledgeable group, equipped to tackle this issue.

The Eau Claire Hoarding Task Force now includes:

Our most popular educational resource is the SERVPRO Continuing Education Courses we offer to insurance agents and adjusters. At SERVPRO of Eau Claire we believe in giving back to our community. We have a great partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin. Every August we hold a golf outing where 100% of money raised goes directly to this great organization. It is a day of fun for a excellent cause. We are extremely excited for the outing in 2018. With an energetic team heading up the planning, the sky is the limit with this event!

On top of SERVPRO of Eau Claire's annual golf outing, we are continuing our support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin. Today SERVPRO of Eau Claire's Marketing Representative met with Chief Executive Officer Wesley Escondo, and Associate Director of Fund Development Teri-Gene Conlin and presented a $1,000 check to the organization. 

We look forward to continuing our partnership and support with Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years to come.
